NBSC-CID HOLDS STAKEHOLDERS’ FORUM ON PROPOSED OBE MANUAL AND GRADING FRAMEWORK
Northern Bukidnon State College’s Curriculum and Instruction Division (NBSC-CID) held its Stakeholders’ Forum titled “Seven Proofs of Transformation: Outcome-Based Education Manual Policy Presentation” on May 18, 2026, via Zoom, as part of its continuing efforts to refine the College’s academic systems and align instructional practices with current educational standards.
The program opened with a message from Dr. Daniel S. Lerongan, Head of the Quality Assurance Office (QAO), followed by the rationale of the forum delivered by Dr. Mary Cris J. Go, Head of the CID. The activity then proceeded with discussions on the proposed Outcome-Based Education (OBE) Manual Policy, where key points on curriculum alignment, expected learning outcomes, and the responsibilities of academic units in implementation were presented to the participants.
This was followed by the presentation of the proposed Institutional Assessment and Grading Policy Framework, which outlined the direction of student assessment, grading practices, and academic monitoring across colleges and departments. Beyond serving as policy statements, the discussions emphasized how these measures are expected to function once implemented within the institution.
Participants were also given the opportunity to raise questions and share concerns during the open forum. The exchange allowed different offices and stakeholders to look closely at areas that may need adjustment before full implementation. Mr. Franklin Jan Gutang later delivered the synthesis of discussions, while Dr. Jovelyn G. Delosa, Vice-President for Academic Affairs, concluded the program with a message calling for cooperation and consistency in carrying out the policies.
By opening the discussion to different sectors of the institution, NBSC created space for clearer direction and fewer gaps between policy and practice. The forum demonstrated that academic improvements are not built through documents alone, but through meaningful discussions where people are encouraged to question, respond, and move forward with a shared understanding.
